Fellowship Opportunities

We love to work, create, and share together … in good times and in bad, in support of each other and of good causes. One or two of our currently active groups are listed here, but see also United Church Women, St. Mark’s Men’s Club, and our ‘Grow in Faith’ Groups page.

St. Mark’s Quilters

quilt-2St. Mark’s quilters are an interdenominational group of women that meet every Wednesday morning from 9 am–12 pm from September through June. They handquilt all projects, both small and large.  Quilts are brought to the group by members and friends, and they are always  willing to accept new projects.

St. Mark’s also hosts a quilt show every other year to display quilting work from near and far and welcome submissions.  Please contact info@stmarkswhitby.ca for further information.

Book Club

The book club meets from September to November and January to May. Even if you travel in the winter you can email comments about the book to the members.

The club meets on the last Tuesday of each month (September – June) from 9:30am to 11 am to discuss the book of the month.  New members are always welcome!

The Knitwits

This group of enthusiastic knitters meets every Thursday at 7:30 pm by Zoom or in person as conditions permit.  Knitters of all experience are welcomed, and everyone works on their own projects, shares ideas and helps one another over the rough spots.  The knitters have produced blankets for the UCW Auction and gift baskets for the St Mark’s Bazaar.
