From Our Kitchen

Please note we have paused the in-house events described here. Watch this space for news of when we will be resuming some of these great food & fellowship moments. And see our Outreach page to learn about the Food To Go ministry that was born out of this closure.

Funerals and Receptions

Scouting Banquet

St. Mark’s has been a community partner with Whitby Scouting for over 60 years. Each year, the Scouting Banquet and Awards ceremony has been catered by the Open Door Unit of the UCW. Our kitchen is humming with activity when this feast is being prepared to celebrate the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts along with the leadership and contributions of their dedicated Scouters, volunteers and parents. Now, with the inauguration of the 413th Whitby Scouting Group, we look forward to the next Scouting Banquet!

Christmas Day Dinner

St. Mark’s has been pleased to host a Christmas Day lunch for many years.  This past Christmas, COVID yet again presented some challenges as we could not permit an in-person gathering for a traditional turkey dinner. However, our team adapted and cooked and packaged 100 “To Go” turkey dinners and offered them for delivery or contactless pick up in the week before Christmas. The tradition continued. Love was not cancelled!

Community Care Dinner

St. Mark’s has been the host of this well-attended event for many years.  Seniors and their Meals on Wheels drivers and support team enjoy a traditional turkey dinner, with carolling, and all the festivities, including a visit from Santa.
